Yearly updates and major changes coming up. December 19, 2015 |

To contact me please ALWAYS follow the directions on the contact page: www.kimberleyaustralia.com/contact.html Hi I figured it's high time I send a sign of life! More than seven months have passed since the last newsletter, and there are several reasons I am writing to you today... 1. About The Yearly Guide Book Updates One is to let you know that I am about to start the yearly overhaul of the guide books. Last year that didn't get done in as much depth as usual, but this year it will. As always, I'll let you know when I'm done. People who already own a guide but only get around to visiting the north now can then request a fresh download link. 2. Major Changes Lie Ahead The second reason I am writing is that I wanted to let you know that this will likely be the last time that I am updating the guides in their current form. Now what the hell does that mean??? To be honest, I don't know that myself yet. I know that I am unable to continue this work. The same health problems that have kept me from writing regular newsletters and that have led to the websites showing serious signs of neglect have also caused me to move back to Europe. For a long time I assumed this was only temporary, but it's time I face up to the reality that things will never go back to "normal". So it's high time I figure out what the new normal will look like. I know the new normal will not include regular field trips around the Kimberley. At least not by myself. And I know the new normal will also not see me spending 60 hours a week in front of the computer like I did in the past while growing this enterprise and then dealing with its exponential growth! I have to strictly limit my computer time. (And you all know how much Facebook takes up already, right? Just kidding!) What I don't know yet is what exactly WILL happen from here. There are several options: 1.) I update the guides one last time. I update the websites and turn them into something more evergreen. I let everyone know that this is it and then leave things alone to slowly but inevitably slide into oblivion. Or... 2.) I find a few suitable people and expand. There are several options and ideas I am currently batting around. I'll let you know more soon! Which brings me to the third reason I am writing... 3. Regular Newsletters Starting Up Again I want to let you know that more regular newsletters and updates will start up again. Whatever major changes lie ahead, for 2016 things will go back to the old "normal" for one last time. I'll be telling you more about my ideas in the new year and maybe you can help me figure out what we're gonna do from here. In any way, whatever happens, know that it'll all be good. Which brings me to the last but not least reason for writing... 4. ... Enjoy the holidays and let's talk again next year, :-) Birgit PS.: As I was writing this I was trying to decide whether I should or shouldn't tell you about this surprise I may have for you. Note the little word *may*. I hope it works out but am not sure yet. The surprise includes the words *new* and *guide*. (But NOT the words Red or Centre! I don't want to raise any false hopes here.) Anyway, that's all I can say for now. Keep your eyes out for the next newsletter. :-) Feedback? Go to https://www.kimberleyaustralia.com/contact.html (c) 2005-2015, Birgit Bradtke.
